Overall, the surveyed graduates commanded competitive starting salaries across all five of SIT-DigiPen (Singapore)’s degree programs. In particular, alumni from the BS in Computer Science in Real-Time Interactive Simulation program enjoyed a gross monthly median salary of $4,400 per month. This is the highest ever gross monthly median starting salary reported by any cohort since SIT-DigiPen (Singapore)’s first GES published in 2015 and reflects the industry’s strong demand for computer science expertise. In line with this trend, alumni from the BS in Computer Science and Game Design program also enjoyed an attractive gross monthly median salary of $3,800 per month, compared to $3,600 the previous year.

Graduates from the BFA in Digital Art and Animation program similarly saw a significant increase in their gross monthly median starting salary at $3,150 per month — up from $2,800 the year before — while those from the BA in Game Design program reported a gross monthly median starting salary of $3,220 per month.

This survey was also the first time that graduates from the inaugural BEng in Systems Engineering (ElectroMechanical Systems) — also known as SEEMS — program were included. As the first batch of SEEMS graduates, those alumni have set a strong precedent with a commendable gross monthly median salary of $3,975 per month. SEEMS graduates also proved to be in high demand with an overall employment rate of 95.2%.

Likewise, the other SIT-DigiPen (Singapore) graduates continue to be well sought-after by employers. Overall employment was strong, with 90.6% of the entire graduate cohort securing jobs within six months of their graduation. Alumni from the BS in Computer Science in Real-Time Interactive Simulation program led the pack with a 100.0% employment rate, up from 96.8% in 2018.

“The competitive salaries and high employment rates are testament to the strong market demand for our graduates,” Mr. Tan Chek Ming, Managing Director of SIT-DigiPen (Singapore), says. “We are especially heartened by the good performance of our first batch of SEEMS graduates. As a leading university in the fields of computer science, embedded systems engineering, UX/UI design, and digital art and animation, we look forward to maintaining — and exceeding — these encouraging results as we continue to educate talent for Singapore’s digital economy.”
